There has been talk about point to point teleportation and to skip hubs - I'm not sure if all that is possible, but assuming it is, why not try this:
LL is trying to make the in world classifieds a more powerful and lucrative tool. What if the fee associated with putting an in world classified was that it enabled a direct teleport to that location from your ad? As of now it seems almost silly to pay $200 L for a classified when you can do almost the same thing on the forums, not just for free but with many images and more formatting options.
I dunno just a silly idea that popped into my head.

Do any Resis currently know of any restrictions on placing Classified locations? I could see some people paying for a Classified as a "gateway portal" direct to that point, rather than a need to advertise any product or such a thing.
In other words, a paradigm shift that allows paid-for P2P, not per usage (i.e. the ol' L$10/TP), but for a duration of time. Temporary TeleHubs, or TTHs. What's more, I believe the current system allows for changing a Classified location after it's paid for and Publishing again, so a certain amount of foresight could make this more flexible. What's even more, I could use this as a makeshift Back button! How? I travel wayyy out somewhere, and then decide I want to get back quickly after doing some other things. No schweat. I update my Classified, set it and forget it, and then later in the day, use the Classifieds panels to port back to where I was. And so on. No this really did sound like a science fiction story to me when I thot about it more... _____________________

i thougth i would bump this now that its a more relavent issue. Additional thoughts anyone? I think disbanding telehubs all together is a little radical and would have a serious impact on the SL market. This is a less radical approach I think.
