skybox to show clouds in the distance

The sky looks kind of plain with no clouds being rendered in the distance. How about a skybox? It could be an option.

Or are we just waiting for the 2.0 rendering engine, which will render clouds to the horizon?

SL already has a skybox; it just doesn't have a background image on it. An option for island owners to add a background would be nice though. In Active Worlds one can completely customize the skybox (or not have one at all).

Perhaps we could have an optional (can be turned off) skybox for the mainland with some good lookin clouds on it. Estate owners could have the option to use a custom skybox texture, or at least ability to pick from a set of skyboxes like a) rainy day b) sunny day c) clear skies.
