advanced cut for boxes, cylinders, prisms

Since new editing parameters have been added to toruses and tubes, how about extending a couple of the existing ones to the simpler prims? Advanced cut begin/end for a box would cut a wedge aligned along one of the other axes. One axis only, not picked by the user. (I'm assuming that would be easier to implement.)

(I'm also assuming that the same parameter is used for dimpling on spheres, so I wouldn't expect an advanced cut there.)

I would also like to see the basic shapes given to use increased to include, but not be limited to:

Hexagons
Octagons


Any other suggestions are welcome.
