While I understand that LL is only enforcing its own rules with regards to Event listings.
The new forum thread states "You should only post an event to publicize a special group activity that is led by the host. The posted event must focus on an activity that begins and ends at specific times and doesn't generally occur at the location."
There was an EROS event scheduled for Friday evening from 8-10pm. They were then notified of the following decision made my LL "Please only list an event once and only list true events, where the host will be online to lead an activity with a group of people. Since your listing didn't fit this condition, I've removed it from the calendar. "This was an event that is held on Fridays. It was listed with support and as a mature event. It also stated that there would be contests and $$ given away BY THE HOST AND A DJ. So to check off all of your requirements:
Special group activity#CHECK
Led by the host...CHECK
Begins and ends at a specific time#CHECK
It was listed once...CHECK
"Generally occurs" what do you consider "Generally" could we be a little more vague please? Thanks...I knew you could! This is once a week.
So, if a group has an event that occurs once a week and that meets all of the other requirements...they are not allowed to utilize the events screen, except for the first time they ever list an event that may end up reoccurring (however frequent/infrequently.) Just want to be clear on why LL feels the need to lock down the social activities of PAYING members and make them resort to a "speakeasy" atmosphere which can only be passed between members of an existing group. WTG!!!
