I think Linden Labs needs to do a better job at protecting the people that want to buy & use land in exactly the way the state and county governments do. Assuming this is actually the MG, then it is justifiable that there needs to be land sales records to include: names, size, dates and time of sales like RL. Regardless of whether it was split up after purchase or not, it can be described as 80% of current square meters previously purchased at $L##.##/sm and 20% at... There even should be map records to know how things are split up--again, like real life.
There are tax records, GIS and deeds to protect people when purchasing land and because there are a lot of people being taken advantage of mainly because they do no possess the previous knowledge to make proper, honest and informed decisions. Let people make a informed decision without blinders.
Knowledge is power, so inform new 'adult' SL citizens and veteren 'adult' SL citizens alike...
