A very simple suggestion, One that wont even effect me at all but. How about allowing NEW residents Say Ten days or less to have the option of a ONE TIME ONLY name change?

Would allow them to come into SL, see whats going on and perhaps if they have a mind to, change thier name from say "Sexboy123" to somthing that might garner them a bit more acceptance into the community at large. Half of those people with those sorts of names I have spoken to tell me that..Had they known what they were getting into when they first signed up..They would have chosen a slightly more appropriate name for themselves. Just a thought.

Is this cause you spelt Cthulu wrong?

I'd vote for that. I paid for my account because I didn't like the name I picked for my freebie.

Even if it had that kind of a time limit (so I couldn't use it) it'd still be a good idea... but how about leaving the option open for any character, allowing them to pick a new first name or any free surname or the surname of their partner, once only?

Or... to get some extra US$ for Linden Labs, making it a Premium benefit, or for a fee... and letting you make your one-time name change for no extra cost when you upgrade from Basic to Premium?

I agree, but it must include first AND last name (and thus would throw off-kilter the whole "150 of a last name" system). Subsequent name changes could cost L$100,000 or something.
