Just curious about adding a "Whos in the sim at this time option to give you a list of avies.

Instead of having like 2 scripts or so doing the job or having to go next to some radar object to see.

Any ideas if this is possible?

This would be interisting. The only arguement against it I can see are privacy issues, but if its *your* sim anyway and you can easily have scanner objects do the task anyway, the arguement is kinda moot.

I wouldn't mind having this added, but only for Estate owners.

Maybe have it list everyone whos in the sim, and then give you a menu when you click or right click their name in the list to do things like Eject, Freeze, Send IM, Return All Objects Owned By This User, etc. I could see this being REALLY usefull.

I think this option would be great! I would love to know who is in the sim to be able to say hi. Even if it only listed the names of the peeps you have CCs for and then maybe "three others".

ie. CrowCather Valen, Fleabite Beach and three others.

The 3 others being the peeps of whom you don't have CCs for.

I hate to say this, but this feature sounds like it would only benefit private land owners (i.e. Estate Owners). I wish the Lindens would get going on features that would benefit all of SL, and not just a small segment of it.

Well the point is after people paying 900+ to order the sim then 200 $ a month its really annoying when people start dropping stuff/ Flying around or causing trouble and having to come chase them down..Or come to the sim to do so. Cause in Private Sims only the owner can do anything. Having to set everything to one group is not always ideal ..but it is sometimes easier but that only helps for objects.

Oz thats exactly what i mean like a global menu for full sim owners doesn't need to be just private isles.

Cause people have been known to cause problems more in the private sims.

There are probably lots of ways around it..

Hm, Tipsy, I've heard that point made before and I do believe it to be a valid one.

While this is real estate, you are spending what is -- in effect -- real money for it, and spending your real time & energy to shape it to your whims. To constantly be impeded in your progress by troublemakers is frustrating and discouraging.

If it's your sim, you should have the right. Besides, what's "privacy" to someone who's going to behave well anyway? Perhaps, like myself, they come loudly and proudly to explore and rejoice in someone's creation. Do people at Disneyland not wear Mickey Mouse hats?

I have noticed that there are some proximity detectors in SL done via scripting of various sorts that lists "avatars nearby". I just am saddened when some creative minds are stifled by malicious fools out to grieve them from sharing their expressivity with the SL community at large.

Having this feature on all land would be good too I suppose, but there doesn't seem to be much use for it unless you own very large parcels of land.

I wouldn't mind if all land owners could do this.

I also do still think *all* land owners should be able to see whose prims are on their land.(but thats semi-offtopic)

All sensor scripts seem to have a 96M range...

Avatars.
Objects with Scripts in them

You would have to travel around the sim to find anything including up.

If there is one for peoples objects i'd love to get it.

Well having this option on the mainland is moot, as if the land is group owned Officers share ALL priveledges. On the estate sims, even though the sim is "group enabled" there are many things only the owner can do.
