Can we have the feature to link an object, and then link it to another linked object, but, when you delink them, they would be those two linked objects. My thinking is that, that, when you rotate multiple prims on a liked object it does not always look very nice, but if it were sublinked, the sublinked object woul behave as on prim.

Hierarchial linked groups would be great.

Depending on how much forethought they put into this concept when designing the system we have now, it could be anywhere from fairly easy to insanely complicated =D

I hope it's not too complicated, as it'd be great feature to have.

Yes, yes, yes. A thousand times yes. I have craved this since day one.

The number of levels of linking would have to be limited. 32 seems to be a magic number but even 8 levels would be an infinite improvement.

BTW

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

Hierarchical linked groups have been my dream since I stated building airships (which I guess was the second or third day I after I came). This, along with Catherine Omega's idea of wrapping non-physical objects in a physical bubble are my two big wishes for the future... well, these two and "soft body" physics :) , but I can accept if that's still a long way off.

Also, it would be wonderful if linksets within other linksets could move and rotate independent of the parent linkset just like we can move and rotate individual prims in a linkset now.

I endorse this idea. :)
