Move all threads concerning single-user issues, like client crashes and billing questions, to Technical Issues. H2L is filling up with this stuff and it's becoming difficult to wade through it all.

i dunno how they'd do it but fixing it so 25 people don't post the exact same issue when there's already 15 posts about it would be nice. yesterday the whole front page was just......

can't log in!
login doesn't work!
no login for me!
problem logging in!!!
help! login = bad!
logged in fine (opposite day)

Another problem I'm seeing is consolidation of answers.

Perhaps the moderators should collapse common threads into single threads? So, for example, "I can't log in!" - "Logins!!!1" - and "Login problems..." would all be collapsed into the thread "Login Issues with 1.6."

This is definitely a priority for us. I had posted this sticky thread in Hotline to Linden a couple days ago in an attempt to help with this:

We're working on some new tools and procedures to clean up Hotline to Linden shortly, so please stay tuned. And please give us more suggestions how we might make it even better.

I am disheartened by this idea.

Some of the best material ever has come out of the abuse of Hotline to Linden. True comic genius shines through in that magical forum, and I will cherish my last moments with it.

I think they should be auto-mirrored to tech support or something (so I can respond and give them a virtual slapping for being dumb, mainly).

A quick glance through the Hotline and I could (and would, I'm that bored) answer a good half those questions myself. Some are just plain dumb - why the hell would you go ask a Linden to specifically come comment on an issue that is covered in the ToS, CS, on the website and all over the forums. Laziness, I guess.

Not a great use of resource as it is.

I suggest you replace Hotline to Linden with a Hotline to FIC, where noobs will come and worship us, drinking from the fountain of our wisdom, and occasionally getting an answer from a Linden.
