What about a compromise: LIMITED Point to Point Teleporting?
The idea is simple: You can only teleport directly to a spot if you already have a landmark or of the location is your land.
This would allow you to bypass the telehubs for locations you frequent, but would still require people to fly by your teleub-close business if they're going to a new (to them) location.
