I'm not even going to go into the recent system "updates". But, is it too much to ask to give a 15 minute, 5 minute and 1 minute warning before dropping the grid? I was working away in a sandbox, lost track of time and next thing I know, boom! "Going down NOW! Everybody out of the pool." I didn't get a chance to collect what I was doing and who knows if it will be there when I get back? This is just basic procedures guys. I learned that way back when - administrating my first Novell Netware V1.0 server. Basic stuff guys...

I got an yahoo from my friend about 15 mins ago, saying they were giving the 15min going down warning o.O, I wonder how come you didn't get one?!

Well thats a darned thing!

Why the hell did some get and some didn't o.O, maybe someone pressed the esc key instead of the any key on the server

But it was known since tuesday that this was happening...BUT true there should be a online notice at the time it is happening giving atleast 15 minutes, even with 2 days pre-warning.

We generally issue 10 minute, 1 minute and now warnings as a matter of policy; however mistakes happen, especially at what is a pretty early hour for us.

I am sorry that you were unable to save your stuff back into inventory, and that you didn't receieve the notice.
