Can we have a checkbox in the texture picker or preferences to have it *only* show textures from the "Textures" folder?

I've got a lot of photos in my Photo Albums folder, and they make it a lot harder to pick out a texture when building =)

Thanks

Yes please! Even better, give us a dropdown list of the subfolders in our textures folder and then display only the textures in that specific subfolder.

I want to be able to open a whole folder of textures at once, so I can pick the one I like best, visually.

having the texture picker show the texture subfolders instead of a long long list would be quite handy indeed

I second (third, fourth, ...?) that.

This concept came to me about a month ago when i began texturing my home. Works wonders. I havea top tier folder "texture store" and then drop active tesxtures into my Active default Texture Directory. I also keep some of my commonly used ones like a transparent alpha in there too. If you keep your textures in subfolders of the store, based on material type or project, it makes it very easy to stage your texture folder for what you are working on.

A texture picker like the default XP one would work, it doesn't have to be complicated, just allow us to choose a damn folder.
