It's come to my attention that a lot of mapping scripts rely on having a prim with a top-down view of a sim on it. So far, the only reliable way I've seen to get a texture for that is to take a screenshot of the map, crop it, and upload it. It seems a bit redundant to have to manually update every object using a map texture when the map changes. Why not have an LSL function that could retrieve the map texture UUID for a given region? It could even be a new dataserver response type.
