How about some sims that are that have no land, and no gravity, as in Deep Space (or even conventional gravity and land, just the land is totally invisible and all one sees is stars above, below and around, or even both varieties of space) or oceans without islands where there is seafloor one can build on, or build floating stuff, or both?

Moving water would be wonderful, but lag is not =/

Recently, I've read a number of threads on this sort of proposal, some of them dating back over a year. Planetary environments like Mars or Io, gravity-free environments resembling space, bottom-of-the-sea environments, or even user-created environments in which nearly all of the variables can be used to "build" an unfamiliar experience.
I'm for them all.

here is why space isnot fessable with the curent system at some point you have to put a sim ontop of the land to travel up in space currently the servers dont have the power to go as far and to have distances as our own universe.
so for every land sim you will have to open a space sim but who know mabey sl will grow to the point where they own a few super computers.

I have no idea what you just wrote, but a sim with water off + always dark , would look similar to space, id love to see a all water/space sims Being space doesnt mean you can could build 16.000.000m off "ground" tho, SL just to plain wierd at extreme heights Dont see why not , diversity in SL is great and diffrent ideas ! , im all for it.

Byron.. or anyone interrested.. A supercomputer would not be needed, in at least one configuration I can envision..a whole seperate area from the land sims (to prevent any conflicts with land) with it's own sims, and OK, land, but the land invisible and with zero gravity, or whatever the lowest value possibile, like .001 maybe, and OK, so say a seperate sim above each "base" sim, and maybe even one below, say a workable vertical distance, lke 200 meters, between the sims, all black and stars like at night high in sky now, in all directions, so is this idea workable? any reason anyone knows it would not work?

I reall ylike this idea! It would make for different environments where you could make some really unique builds and settings.
