Few suggestions came up last night.
First, an off-line sandbox where we can build without uploading, and with an option to upload (for the typical rate) what we create. A lot of us would like this so we can see how textures will map before uploading, and so we can perfect textures and objects and scripts, etc... before spending L$ to get them into the world. And so we don't have to wait for textures, sounds, animations to download again after uploading.
Second, related to the first, is manual texture tools (particularly useful would be a texture drag) so that those of us less numerically inclined can set up textures using the mouse.
Next on my list is the ability to texture objects linked together as if they were one primitive. I don't know if this is possible but I spent nearly an hour trying to align the same face texture onto the many different spheres for one of my avatars and being able to link them together would have made it wholly more simple. And I don't mean just changing all the numbers on a group, I mean having a texture seamlessly align to say several intersecting objects.
I'd also like to see a sprite primitive added myself, with options for fixed, rotate, and face. And maybe animated face. This is a primitive they have in Flatland when that came out that's rather useful for sprite based foliage, non-particle based fires, etc... I konw the same is more or less possible with the particle system but this would simplify things. Also many of us are using 95% hollow or .01 meter deep objects in place of sprites and it's leaving nasty gaps. Barring that, a way to make textures 2-faced so they could be viewed from either side on an object. Those of us doing fake-sprite fur and hair (and lightsabers really) know what I'm talking about.
Finally, I think there should be a size limitation on attached objects. Someone has been flying around FurNation Prime with a whole freaking 60's diner attached and it's driving us nuts.

Going right down the line: From: Zennoa Seifert First, an off-line sandbox where we can build without uploading, and with an option to upload (for the typical rate) what we create. Not something the I think Lindens are working on, or really something I can see them devoting time to in the near future. Though I'm personally working on it. Currently it's on the back burner again while I finish the semester and NaNoWriMo. From: Zennoa Seifert Second, related to the first, is manual texture tools (particularly useful would be a texture drag) so that those of us less numerically inclined can set up textures using the mouse. Don't think this would work perfectly, but it's a nice idea. From: Zennoa Seifert Next on my list is the ability to texture objects linked together as if they were one primitive. Impossible, unfortunately. Prims are formed in a very specific way. Putting a texture together in this way would be quite impossible to approximate for more than simple cases. The simple ones might be fun, though. From: Zennoa Seifert I'd also like to see a sprite primitive added myself... Yep. It would just be more efficient that way. From: Zennoa Seifert Finally, I think there should be a size limitation on attached objects. There is. The size of an attached object is limited to around 30-40m. Attachments can only be single prims or linked sets. Linked sets max out at 30-40m at the outside. Single prims max out at 10m.

As I uderstood it there was a limit to the space from which linked primitives could be. I'd like to see a limit placed on wearing primitive speciffically. I don't think it's logical to say someone can be wearing something 30 by 30 by 30 meters. And I'm afraid to expect more people to abuse that in the future.
