Sometimes happen. I create an image and I use high resolution to work in it. When I finish, I save in tga format, but I forgot to reduze image size. I start uploading, I see client take too much time to upload, I ask myself "why?" and I realize to have not reduced image size... but I cant cancel that upload.
Uploaded image will be unuseful and I will upload a second (reduced) image. Final cost: 20L.

So, why we cant cancel uploading?

That is my request: add a cancel button in uploading dialog.

Yes, logoff help. TP... I guess not, but I'm not sure.
btw, a cancel button can be more usefult than a relog :)

Maybe they could just add the image size to the preview window, then you could be sure of the upload size before you start. Another possible solution.

But then they'd get half the income from failed uploads :)
They need to add a different pricing scheme so that big file-sizes cost more, then add information and the button so you can cancel out if you forgot your picture is still 1gb in size.

I like nayasha suggest. Is a good way, also if I think a "cancel" button is not hard to add to dialog box :)
About uploading cost... I dont know. I like the idea to use a fixed cost for any upload.
- Images have usually standard sizes (512x512, 1024x1024, etc...) when someone like me dont make mistakes... lol
- Sounds too. We also have a limit: we cant upload more than 8-10 seconds).
- Animations, are never so much bigger.

So, changing standars I guess is not a good idea. Of course, we need a limit. SL cant allow to upload 20mb image!!! lol

lol. From announcements, in new SL client:
* Texture dimensions have been added to all texture preview windows

better than nothing :)
