forum suggestion

Either a 5 to 10 minute wait between posting in the same thread or a 5 to 10 minute wait between posting just in off topic in the same thread. If you don't really have anything to add to a discussion, you should probably be thinking about it more before you hit post. You can respond to multiple people via the quote tags.

Paragraphs can form additional thoughts without resorting to back to back posts (aka double posting). For those not adroit at adopting such obviously good forum practice, they will have to wait. People already making use of them won't notice such a limit.

Basically, the message board is a message board, not a chat room, right?

No no. Bad idea, would be incredibly annoying.

Besides, it'd just increase the use of alts on the forum.
