stop logging us off when our sim goes down

I don't like getting logged off when the sim I am in goes down for some reason. Could we, instead, get returned to a preset area or to a nearby sim?

Thanks!

That had already been answered somewhere that I'm too lazy to dig up. In older revisions, a sim crash would bump you to an adjacent sim. In more recent releases the explanation was that by the time a sim crash is noticed, there isn't enough state or reliable state to push you over.

I would guess that this has something to do with the sim "owning" the agent now instead of the login server owning the agent previously; just speculating.

Thanks for the info. I wish we could have the old functionality, but if it would come at the cost of choking the login server, I'll live with it the way it is. :)

However, they could implement it for when they KNOW the sim is going down (the 60 seconds unti sim restart messages). I once got up to go to the bathroom and came back with enough time to go "sh*t I need to teleport!" before I was logged out.
