Monospaced floating text! pretty please :), so i can display ascii art and formatted script and nicely indented lists :).

I believe Rickard is referring to the same type of float text employed in HUD readouts for his vehicles, as well as custom titlers and many other things of that nature.

I don't know what the current font is -- it's proportional though.

I'd like to see more font choices as well. :)

na, too slow to update, uses more prims, and more textures. only alternative does not make a good alternative.

My version of Xy text that takes only 1 texture and loads in a flash. It displays 3 chars per prim instead of 6. But I find that without all that texture loading and blurring it is well worth it! Or something Adam Zaius (my buddy! :) ) is working on, but it's not mono spaced... :cool:

It is settext we all are talking about here... but he claims its not monospaced.
The issue here is that we need an llSetMonospacedText that would allow us to make pretty ASCII art. I never noticed whether or not it was monospaced, but hey, if he says so :)
