Addition of more tiers for land

I would like to see the addition of more tiers for land in SL, at least in the upper tier brackets. Wanting to tier down from 65,536sq m, 32,768sq m, 16,384 or 8,192sq m I find a bit awkward. Having to halve your tier may not be what the owner wants, but obviously has no choice. I propose we also add at least four more tiers at 49,152sq m, 24,576sq m, 12,288sq m and 6,144sq m.

I would like to hear your opinions on this before I post it as a proposal. Thanks!

Totally agreed, also think that charging should be done more fairly too, not peak, perhaps daily. so your actually charged for what you use.

Charged for what you use. Gee, that sounds like common sense. So why do I have to tier up another 15 bucks just cus Im short by a 512? what if I dont need an extra 4k of tier? Totally agree with this, we need a more finely tuned sliding scale. Of course this current system works for the Lindens, but it certainly isnt fair to the users.

Yes I agree, maybe charge on a daily basis. I also agree that the current tier system benefits the Lindens, but I also think adding more tiers would also benefit them. I think more people would tier up if the tier jumps were not so huge. Hence also more money for the Lindens. Its just a win - win situation for both sides.

Anyone else have anymore suggestions or comments before I post the proposal?

No i totally agree with you there, its so much easier to make smaller financial based steps than larger ones after all anshe has a 12k tier on her dreamland sims, many people get nervous tying up so much money with a jump from say 8k to 16k and the same with the other for players on smaller or bigger budgets. I did post this question for the marketing town hall but it doesnt look like it got asked.

I would also like see tiers above the one region size. 4 sim tier, 10 sim tier etc, also applying to private island sims.

That would be very good for you ;P I suppose Linden Labs would have to crunch the numbers, but If it would encourage people to buy more private sims and it was profitable I can't see it being a bad thing.

I for one think that is a fantastic idea, why not more levels in the tiers? I know there are times I've want to just sale off a couple 1000 sq meters but don't feel I can. I don't want to pay a month fee and not use my land allotment Good Idea I'd vote for this as a proposal!

Perhaps Linden Labs can charge $1.50 for every 512m owned on a daily basis, in addition to the monthly Premium fee.
