I agree this time the same as I did the last half dozen times it was suggested. But I'm guessing since the same suggestion has been ignored at least a half dozen times, that it's just wishful thinking.
Without even digging deep... previous times it's been suggested include: IM ingame via website Make IM available from Website IM via website Initiate IM/Email conversations from the outside Website IM system _____________________

I'll third the motion, tenth the motion or whatever number you all are up to. If I can see who is online from the web I should be able to click on a name (or seacrh a directory) and IM someone. That seems like a pretty basic feature for an online application in 2005 AD

We were supposed to have a separate IM client but it was shelved. I guess LL didn't want to maintain it.
I would settle for a Jabber gateway though! Or just publish the protocol and we will write the client ourselves. _____________________
