I dunno if others have problems with this board, but I sure don't like it.

Chiefly the cookies from this board seem to suck. Forums seem to auto-update what I've read -- even without me reading it. Leaving forums still shows them as unread even after I've read all new posts. If I don't check the board in a few days, then return, the board just seems to "best guess at what I probably would have read if I HAD logged in, so it just marks a ton of posts as read and shows a few of the most current as un-read. Even clearing my cookies and after a re-install of winblows didn't affect how this board works. Now, I do block 3rd party-site cookies, perhaps that's the problem -- but wtf I don't want 3rd party (aka ads) cookies. Half the time, when connecting to the forums, I have to re-log in, the option to always stay logged in/auto-login seems broken.

Anywho, just a rant I guess, but go look at YaBB/SMF:

They should at least upgrade vBulletin to the current version.
This one is over two years old and quite buggy. It also has some security issues.

Other than that, vBulletin is the best forum software out there, comparable only to UBB. Ive been researching heavy traffic forum software for years for my own use.

Security issues, well that raises my eyebrows as we use our GAME info to log into this board (that's always bothered me, now it really bothers me).

Pretty sad to learn this is a two year old version too (I don't keep up on boards, just know that I like YaBB and I don't like this board).

I'm ALL for an upgrade. The fact that there is no manual way to do the "Show All New Posts" feature if the feature THINKS you have visited and read everything (when you haven't, you just followed a link to ONE article, or left your computer alone for an hour or two then returned).

Upgrades GOOD... Considering how many and how often people use this forum.

(And a spell-check feature would be nice too, for when I'm on the PC and don't have Mac OS X's built in spell checking ability.)
