(1) Chat Buffer: If u hit Ctrl+Up arrow (xx= some number or char) in chat mode, u can move betwee the few (or many) last lines you type in... Is nice to repeat someting.
(2) shortcut to answer the last IM u received.
(3) Unify IM and Chat window and HIstory function. Is more usable in my oppinion. May be designed using TABS. and with "Create new Chat windows" capabilities. For example, u can create a new chat-tab-window named Groups....then u select what group channels go in this windows..ready. No more spam in main (or defaul) Chat window.
