I am at work, looking at the forums when I should be working, and the colorful displays used on the forum pages, and the pictures such as Aimee Weber doing the Nyah Nyah gesture make it really really really obvious that I am goofing off when I should be working. An optional format for the SL websites that looked drab, with, for example, bar charts of depressing trends in economic factors replacing the avatar pictures, would make it much less obvious to my coworkers and employers that I am being bad.

Have you tried turning off image display in your browser?

Turning off images makes forum text disappear?

I just tried turning off animations in order to protect myself from the pernicious effects of Flipper's monstrous recursive David Hasselhoff swim trunks animation. That worked fine.
Then I tried turning off images just for the heck of it, and in my Internet Explorer, running on Windows XP, turning off images causes the forum text to disappear. Is that true for anyone else? _____________________
