Scrolling banner ads on the webpage. Nothing too obnoxious, but a place out of world for SLers to advertise and still leave our world nice and neat. well in some places anyway. Why not let someone pay $20-50 USD for an ad rotation in a banner ad? It could also add visual interest to the page, right? And make LL a trifle more solvent?

That banner or other marketing at LL or SL.. at the homepages.. will be only for the ones that makes a lot of money - making real business in SL (I can guess who will by that for a long period at once.. ) - we others that are in SL for having a bit of fun and similar.. as small business will not have that income - by SL - to buy that banners...
Sorry... sorry I like marketing but in SL.. hmm... not at the forum please...

We need more marketing in SL itself (I know of one advertiser, MetaAdverse), and in order to get decent marketing you NEED to throw WADS of money at it.
It isn't worth it to those of us who run small businesses--we don't have that kind of money.
SL needs a cheap and fair system of advertising that anyone can use, but this banner idea is not it.
