I think an excellent workflow improment for SL building would be to enable the uploading of textures by draging them onto the SL application icon from the operating system, as an alternative to uploading via the in game file browser and upload menu.
I'm not sure how this would work on Windows, but I can definetly see this working well with the Dock icon on Mac OS X.

It would have to run a separate program to connect to your account for transfer, charging lindens and file type conversion. Why not just use the multiple image upload option in SL? You can select as many files at once as you can afford.

- Jolan Hmm. Not nessecarily. My idea is not designed to be a seperate standalone uploader. Instead, it's just a quick way to bypass the upload dialog in game and do it straight from the operating system. It, like the secondlife:// weblinks, would require you to be logged it. All it would do is pass the file to the regular secondlife compressor and uploader.
