Our scripts run on a centralized virtual machine in their respective sims. I would think that it shouldn't be too difficult to get a list of scripts in a sim by owner. From there it's only one more step to have that list show resource usage.
A tool like this would help the entire SL world. To date it seems that even LL does not have a real way to debug sim performance, and it seems to me that sim performance has been a top issue for quite some time now!

Apparantly they can't or won't. I can see why they won't. What happens when you see that AvatarXYZ owns 1024 sqm in a sim, but uses 50% of the sim resources with the scripts in his dance club? So, I'm sure they are silent on this issue so that people don't lynch mob resource hogs. The sad thing is that some of us would like to make sure our own creations don't cause problems, and want to be able to measure our own script's effects on a sim. We are left with educated guesses at best.

Actually I meant "by owner" so that a person can only see his or her own scripts and possibly scripts belonging to group members. That would avoid lynch mob situations.

On ProtoMUCK, a text system I use, users are able to type @ps, and get a process listing for MUF (Multi-User Forth, a language that was adapted for MUCKs) for their own access, things they could do to make it work in SL:
1) make it a debug option. 2) make it so you see scripts on your own land, or scripts on objects you own.
I have seen this work effectively in other multiplayer environments with SL's freedom, it could work here quite easily, and I'd feel better knowing some random program I have isn't gonna hog the timeslice.

In a way, I kinda condone the lynch mob. Why should the guy with 32m2 and the scripted disco ball with lasers shooting out of it playing Parliament Funkadelic and scanning for public land, hot chicks, and rezzing flying penises with a bump-mapped 400 prim Elvis on top that keeps getting script-rezzed and then autodeleted deserve amnesty from other people giving him scowls and sidelong glances?

I have to agree with Michi Lumin. If someone is being a hog then they deserve what they get. I don't think the lindens will ever do this though.
I think for LL to bite it will have to be done by objects you own.
