With all the little quirks in SL I can't believe this isn't in already.

Would cut way down on sensor usage to.

Closes her eyes and wishes:

onerror()
{
llResetScript();
}

Are you proposing a function or a new state?

I think that an error handler could be a good idea. If a script has to shutdown, it can give output or llDie.

I believe the original poster is proposing a new event.

I support this suggestion, with a few additions, an integer constant for any error, and an arbitrary string message.

So it would be something like:
on_error(integer error, string reason)
