When I was suspended I could not raise anyone on the phone and the abuse-manager email is a dead letter office... I didn't even get the run around, I got stone walled
I could have used the run around for my heart you know.
Anyway my suggestions are as follows:
A.) Seperate forum related issues and game related issues... if someone was being a naughty, naughty child on the forums then revoke their posting rights for a time, don't ban them from playing the game as well. This double punishment isn't fair and it hurts businesses and creditablity.
B.) Let us see our own wrap sheets, I can ask the police department for my own criminal record and have the right to dispute and appeal it, why isn't that good enough for linden labs? Several residents have dirty sheets and do not deserve it.
C.) Do not lock off access to people completely who are suspended/ banned. Put the "cornfield" into effect.
D.) Have a new channel/ phone number or generally, a new way to speak to those who are accused of abuse. Give us our day in court.

Why is it that forum conduct and in-game conduct are so strongly linked, everyone makes a mistake, a word out of turn, but does that warrent ripping them away from friends, engagements, and business?
Why can a stray forum post end a persons career of being a greeter or a mentor in secondlife?
Forum punishments need to be seperate from the world punishments, if (no name here >.>
can be banned from posting and not banned from the game, why can't other people? is he special, more prized on the pike than we are?So I want to see forum punishments disassociated from world punishments.

Many formly suspended residents don't think they got their day in court, most of us being met with shrugged shoulders and no answers...
If you appeal your status or a mark on your record you should be given your day in court and I literally mean that, you should get a day of the week/ time when you can sit down, face to face, with a real linden... you should get an hour to plead your case or a number you can call to speak with them during that time (as some of us have disabilities that hurt our spelling or ability to relate fine details, places and times)
C.)
Make a cornfield. If you are suspended/banned you automatically log in there. All abilities are locked off from the user but the following,
-Accessing notecards in your inventory
-IMing friends on your list (You may not add new friends, and you may not IM people who are not on your friends list, to prevent grief spam, and people can remove you from their friends list if you try)
-Talking to your groups (you can not join new groups, and you can still be removed from those you are in)
The reasons for this?
Secondlife deals with real money and relationships, notecards contain business data that one might need access to even if they are banned (hey, if they WANT to pay someone back over paypal for a debt owed, why stop them from making things right?)
Friends because someone might be romantically involved and have no other forum of contact with their significant other, quite yet.
Groups, because you might lead a land group and need to make arrangements...
It is time out, these punishments, and thats all well and good, but they should not cripple your business and cause sims to go unpaid for. Even those people banned completely deserve to have an hour to get their affairs in order (like a will, of sorts)
Suspended people can mull around in the cornfield all they want. Banned people get 3 hours (total) logged into the cornfield, to set their affairs.
Next to the cornfield should be the courtroom, but I'll get into that next.

Everyone who wishes to dispute their record or their punishment should be able to scedual a date and time with which to speak with a linden, as I said above, a dead letter office isn't going to work anymore and it isn't fair.
Even in everquest, the game that has be said to have the WORST customer support, they had a GM talk to you before you were suspended. You could even get on the phone with them...
So can't linden lab do the same for us? I think we deserve a chance to plead our case and our intentions, it works fine for the united states of america, why isn't it good enough for LL to model themselves after?
No more dead letter office, period. Everyone should get human contact and the reasons they were banned, barred and bloodied, The vague messages are not enough.
