Hey All,

Recently, while trying to texture a build of mine; I ran into an issue with making textures align properly. Thats why, I would like to see a better ingame texture system.
Or better yet, an external secondlife program that allows a player to take his in-game objects, format a 2-d skin map out of the 3-d object; then upload it into a texturing program. Also, inorder for these maps to texture properly; a new setting needs to be put ingame allow for multiply objects to receive the same texture.
It might sound confusing, but what I am hoping is that you import the textured object map; then you have the option to wrap it around a group of link-prims. This, would allow for secondlife to have an amazing amount of more detailed multi-prim object textures. I think it would really improve the look of the game and would be a lot easier than the current method of texturing.

you can lineup a texture across several prims very easily, toggle the texture to planar mapping and use one of these "texture grid" to match everything

its what i do and you can go very fast with it
