Ok so it seems that in SL most residents either enjoy living and playing or running some sort of business. But problem with SL is that it is very difficult to find places, there must be some other way? So my suggestion:
Is there anyway, that with the purchase of land and with these expensive tier costs, that each land parcel has its own do it your self webpage, that residents can search through and specify search criteria such as traffic, content and images? It seems people spend more time finding stuff on sl exchange, because it is soooo much easier to find stuff your looking for. I think with a better way to find shop locations and such would probably boost the struggling economy as well.

Hmm, I'm not sure that would help. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the in-world search function, it just needs to be overhauled so it doesn't take ages to notice new keywords, and so it can return some more intelligent results.

One idea I brought up recently was tagging your parcels. Rather than pulling info from the description, you enter your own choice tags (so the description can be used for describing!), these are what is then searched, and can be updated instantly. Also, the more tags from a single parcel that match a given query, the higher its ranking can be; so if you search for "black dress", stores with only "black" or "dress" as tags will drop down the list, but any store with both will be nearer the top.

A greater range of categories for clothes shopping and so-on would be nice. Options for doing random searches to find new places rather than popular ones. The ability to list items/services for shopping searches would be a big boon as well.

I dont really know much about scrIpting but yes, this is a good idea....and

IMPORTANT NOTE***** there is sooo something wrong with the current search engine, because, in my land description, it says....clothes, clothing, shoes, and when I search any of these words under all, MY PARCEL DOESNT EVEN get listed! my classified ADS do, but the actual parcel doesnt come up, so

this really sucks because if someone wants to browse through all of the womens clothing stores, I guess they will see all of them except mine? SO I WOMNDER HOW MANY SALES I LOOSE DUE TO THIS?

THERE SHOULD BE SOME TYPE OF REINBURSEMENT FOR THIS. I MEAN I SELL WOMENS CLOTHES, SO IF I SEARCH FOR WOMENS CLOTHES, MY STORE DOESNT GET LISTED? BUT SOME FURNITURE STORES AND OTHER UNRELATED THINGS DO?

WHY!!!! BUG REPORTS UNANSWERED SO I AM STRESSING ON THIS ISSUE!

Have you tried just re-entering the description, with spaces after commas instead of crushed or anything? For my store it often takes a while to update the listing but I've not had trouble.
The idea of tags though would remove the need to break-apart and parse descriptions, as the tags are already search-words (or quick phrases if more relevant), so could be updated instantly without any real work, all they need is to be made all the same case (lowercase or UPPERCASE) so searching is easier, then pop them in the database.

The other problem is that "women clothing" in the search doesn't match:
"We have clothing for women!"
