Right now whenever you drop an object or item into a folder in inventory, it automatically opens that folder and scrolls the inventory to the point where the item went.
While I can see this helping with the issue of people losing items in inventory, this makes it extremely hard to organize one's inventory because one must continually scroll back to where they were after each movement.
People stop losing items eventually once they're used to how inventory works, but this 'feature' makes a huge hassle for anyone no matter how old or new they are.
I believe that people are still going to lose things with this new system, the only thing that is certain is that the system is now more cumbersome, time-consuming, and quite possibly irritating.
With the dozens of freebies that pile up in people's inventories and must be sorted away or cleared up somehow, I can't see this new system causing anything but greater frustration for ne people.

Yes Please make this an option. And the ability to move multiple inventory items at a time too (not in a folder).

I agree with this suggestion. It now takes me ten times longer to sort my inventory since we can't multiselect, and I have to keep scrolling, even if I use two windows!

Yes Stromko, behavior seems to have changed like you said. I don't recall it being this way when I first started SL.

Hopefully this thread will stay alive long enough for LL to notice, even though changing things back to how they were(when they worked) is less sexy to reply to than ideas that are a) revolutionary, b) unfeasible and insane, or c) have nothing to do with SL.

I vote "AYE"
Eventhough this problem is sort of controled by just opening up another inventory window an use one as the master an one as the slave............ Sort of like bdsm........ hehehe

Just to let you know, when 1.5.7 came out, I reported this new behaviour as a bug. The friendly tech support told me that they were aware of it, but couldn't fix it soon - so no release date for that. Anyway, LL is aware of the problem, and it seems to have a pretty high priority...
