Mandatory Inventory Search Filter

With streaming inventory, and a lot of people with huge inventories, I would like to see the default search state set to force filter use. It does not make sense to search every single category of item when you are looking for something.

As it is, I would guess that when someone begins a search, they know that they are looking for a piece of clothing, a script, a texture, whatever. I have to make an extra step to select the type item I want to search. I dont want to see all the unrelated categories when I am searching for an object. Narrowing the search by filter should reduce the strain of searching 10,000 items when it might only need to search 300, or so.

I would also like to see the Library searched seperately, it is rare I need to see the results found in the library. It may not be a hassle as it is now and actually more of a hassle to have to select a search filter, so make it an option per user. Just provide a check box to automatically clear and prompt the filter selection.

That's a great idea.... it'd really come in handy when searching my inventory of umpteen thousand items for one thing. Maybe Trash and Lost & Found could automatically be included in the filter category, in case whatever the item was had been accidentally deleted or recently returned to you from another location. It'd also be helpful if, in the case of items with multiple copies, it didn't pull up every single copy... just pulling up the copy nearest the top, most recently accessed, etc. would be fine.
