A way to select if you will be Online or Offline when you are Online, for privacy reasons...

Presumably, for clarification, I believe you are saying that your status as exposed to others is "offline" even when you are online.
Personally, I feel that this would be inappropriate unless you are forced to stay in your land. If you're flying around and interacting with people and they have no way to know that you're even online, I can see a lot of ways people can exploit this in ... odd, if not improper, ways.
