Right now, if you post with a message less than ten characters - like "signed" or "I agree." - VBulletin will whine that your post is too short. Get rid of that, it's pointless.

Perhaps it is to encourage longer posts. Just saying signed or I agree does not really add much to a thread. Is it so hard to type a sentence that is 10 characters?

I had a very eloquent response to an earlier thread, which however was only four characters long. I thought briefly about adding a paragraph saying how stupid this restriction was, but decided that it obscured my point, and decided not to post.
Why not let me be the judge of what is adequate and what is not? Edited to improve subject/verb agreement. |

Agreed. We never had problems with people posting messages that were "too short" on the old forums, so why do we have restrictions here? As you know, this is an updated version of the software - it may or may not allow that setting to be configured. _____________________
