Wouldn't it be useful if we could put our 'friends' into folders like stuff in our inventory, to keep track of how we know people?

Just as an example, I friend every newbie that comes to me as a greeter, so they can see if I'm online and can easily get hold of me. But it would be nice to keep them all in one folder, as opposed to my other 'real' friends, contacts for scripting/textures, people from stores I visit, clubs I frequent, etc etc etc.

Please?

It would be nice if it had a more organizable hierarchy. I think of it like, my Firefox Bookmarks. Kinda weird we can sort Calling Cards into folders but not Friends, eh? I think that causes some confusion. And another related suggestion is for online Friends to show up on TOP of the whole Friends listing. That way, you don't have to scroll through the whole shebang.

This ties into better Grouping utilities in some way. Relationships.

You can make a quick and dirty work around, by simply having subfolders under your calling card folder withing your inventory

eg
ALL
GREETERS
MENTORS
FAMILY
COLLEAGUE
XYZ-GROUP
ABC-CLUB

and COPY the appropriate calling cards into the relevant sub folders.

EDIT
if you use the IM window, online friends do appear at the top :¬)
