Oh, here's my idea, and I have no clue how difficult it'd be to implement, BUT. I think there needs to be a big redo of the way avatars behave. Specifically, clothing. For example. You're wearing a cape and you're flying, but instead of it flowing behind you (in response to velocity/wind direction?) it's stuck in that same upside down half-circle fixed position. or even worse, you land and your leg sticks out the back of it. I mean it's purely aesthetic but it's really aggrivating to be wearing a really nice, well designed outfit and have these jarring things jump back out at you. there's a whole bunch I could think of if only I were thinking of something more than THE FACT THAT WORK ENDS IN FIFTEEN MINUTES. ::faints.:: Edit: thought of another. I've got a cloak that has a hood, which either comes down (draped around the shoulders) or up (over the head.) I can't wear the up version whatsoever because the back of my skull sticks halfway out, despite how I position it, and if I stretch the hood it looks bizarre. I don't want to be forced to squish my head to fit into my outfit!!

I agree, but having no knowledge of how they would implement this (or if indeed they could), I would personally live with it and focus on the more obvious problems. If by cape, you mean an attached prim (again I have no idea). It would be interesting to see if someone could animate like a flowing fabric texture onto one, when walking/flying the animation comes into effect, when standing still it goes to a still texture. Maybe an idea for someone with skill and talent ..... unlike myself LeSeul

no I mean what we've got right now, the construct between the jacket and the skirt, which is the closest thing to a cape available. and realizing there are more important things to do, that's why I prefaced my post as such. but seeing as THOSE things aren't being done either maybe it's nice to just dream.

Capes don't exist in SL.
Prims that people make to LOOK like capes do, but an actual cape clothing object does not exist.
If they made a cape clothing object, they could do this.

Don't get me wrong ... I love the idea
Standing atop a building with your trenchcoat flapping in the wind, would be fantastic.

I think it's more important to get things like a multithreaded client done, engines updated etc -- improving performance before sticking more stuff in there to slow everything down. (IMO)
