I am requesting that Linden Labs place a note, or a link to a page, on the land sales page that states that land descriptions should have the following searchable terms. Each term must have a space between them for keyword searches. (M) = Mature (PG) = PG (I) = Island property (ML) = mainland property Is there some better letter? The note should also specify the order of the items based on what a person is likely to look for. Island vs Mainland first Then Mature vs PG Then Square footage. Then description. I also thing the use of other characters to put you up at the top of the list is wrong. Example "  ML) (M) 512SQ A nice flat piece of land overlooking a valley." Edit: oops, I meant to put this in Feature suggestion, but I had two windows open. |

Moved to Feature Suggestions for further discussion - I think that tagging is the way of the Search future!

I think that at first we can try and get people to add the defined tags.
Latter the system could incorperate the tags automaticly based on the parcel's propertys.
The fist step is to have LL define and state tags to be used.

There is a vote in the feature voting tool for a better solution, but what I am calling for is for sellers to simply name the parcel better and more consistently. "A land selling guide to naming and descriptions" Latter SL could check and add the tags to the name if not present. Best of luck with that idea. It's not bad, but some people in SL are a bit slow to change so I truley doupt the realities of it. We have been waiting for close to 3 months for LL to work out some type of filter to distinguish between Mainland & Private Estates in land searchs. If they could handle that problem all the tools would be in place and land wouldn't need to be tagged because you could search with options such as, PG, Mature, Mainland, & Private Estates. Either way I wouldn't hold my breath, as this doesn't seem to be an important issue with LL.
