Secure Trading?

Is there, or has there been mention of, a secure-trading feature within the game? Something like the escrow service provided by sites like slexchange.com?

What I'd like to do is trade one or more objects (including L$) with another user who may or may not be online - without leaving SL. Many MMO's directly support this feature. Maybe SL does too and I'm too much of a newb to have noticed ...

Uhm...

Usually when I hear the term "Secure Trading", it means a window in which two people can shove objects, see what the other person is giving them, and they each have to agree to the trade before it occurs. If either one changes the offered goods, both parties agreements become null until they re-agree.

No, that's not in SL.

That said, what I'm reading in your post is you're looking for an easy way to simply toss someone something even if they're not online. THAT is easy. Open up their profile. Drag the object to their profile. Done.
