How about Busy to IM's only?

Ok, here's the idea:

I'm hosting an event, and I get 20 IM's that need to be answered because I can't set my av to busy or away without it displaying AWAY or BUSY above her head.

So, how about being able to just select BUSY for IM's so you can finish your event, the IM sender gets a note saying you'll get back to them after you are finished, or whatever message you want to type in, like the standard busy mode...now your avatar doesn't have that silly BUSY above their head and you can focus on your event, and not feel pressed to answer all those IMs...

Yes, this is *exactly* what I and most of the people I talk to need. It's not the people who are there in person who are the problem, it's the twenty million IM's that come in when I'm trying to chat with friends or enjoy an intimate moment with a *particular* friend, or whatever.

This is simple, this is straight forward, and it's just what the doctor ordered.

You didn't mention but I believe it was implied....

IM chat of any kind should not appear in main chat window or temp popup when setting Busy to IM only. Of course local chat should still appear in window and as temporary popup.

Nothing harder than trying to sift through all the group IM spam to find local chat with friend(s)

I would probably end up leaving this option on all the time in fact.

Would love to see Busy to IM Only implemented.
