vote abstaining

I would like to see an option to abstain from all votes. Being a vendor, and being forced to be in a group to have a vendor on a site is ok. But then to have the group leader (i wont mention Anshe's name) spam my email and chat with votes that are advertisements is a major pain in the ass. To be able to Abstain on all votes in the group option window would be a simple solution to make a great many people happy

Perhaps it would be better to add a feature allowing Group Announcements.
As a member of the Elf Clan, I recieved a number of Announcements via the voting system, though they are now changing to notecards. Still, I think the implimentation of an Announcement Feature would be wonderful, with a little box in the bottom right hand corner to check or uncheck as to whether ot not you want to recieve announcements. Also, for those who unceck it to avoid a spam of IM, it would be nice to show the Current Announcement on this feature tab. How's that sound?
