Would it be possible to give us option to change a objects axis system between its own and the worlds. It has cost me several hours on some builds trying to wrestle with rotating and placement because of this. Being able to simply change the objects center to match the worlds would alleviate lot headaches.

Yes. There's an axis mode dropdown at the top of the edit window. Switch between "local" and "world". You can also pick an object, position its local axes how you want it, and then hit shift-G, and then you'll always be editing in Reference mode, which means you'll use the axes of the object you hit shift-G on.

Ill have to try the shift G... thanx The axis mode you speak of, are you refering to ruler mode? I tried that and while it did change, it did not send me into a same axis youd get on a newly made prim (like Z being 90 degrees to ground.)

Ah, yeah, I meant ruler mode. Prims like a torus and tube start their lives already rotated, perhaps that's the problem? Also linked sets behave weirdly with local axis mode.

From: Lex Neva Also linked sets behave weirdly with local axis mode. Thats probably the issue right there then. When tested ruler mode it was on a linked build. The shift G helped me with what I was working on though.. thanx
