IRC Style Group Sessions.

I don't know who's idea it was to make the current group IM session system. I think its better to use NORMAL chats like IRC. I dislike my screen being flooded with IMs cuz some people open group sessions just to say Hi, cuz they think its a live channel. Some groups I've only joined to get updates for merchandise i purchased. I feel I'm gona have to leave these groups cuz people are always starting anoying sessions that interupt my work. I have to (CLOSE) group IM windows a couple hundred times a day.

My idea is to give it a interface similar to IRC. There will be a menu in the friends list or The IM selection window somewhere where you can disable and enable channels. It should then save the info to your settings.ini file. The first time you run SL all channels will be open till you disable them. The chat window interface will have a column to the right listing everyone whose in the channel with it active. officers will be listed with @ in front of there names like moderators.



PS: if you wish the channels to be disabled the first time runing SL please say so. Also if this is impossible to do, atleast give us the ability to mute groups...
