With all the talk of more CPU horsepower, more Video Card horsepower, more horsepower in general, as SL gets more and more complex it seems to me that SL should allow the use of more DISK HORSEPOWER.

By this I mean it seems unreasonable that my different characters must share ONE cache file, which at 1,024,000,000 bytes is a pretty big file. Why only allow that one file?

I have Disk space to burn. I would like to see a settings in the ini file, pointing to a different location for a cache file for each character. This way I would have 1 Gig for character 1, and 1 Gig for character 2. I wouldnt nearly as badly burn out my drive for trying to swap out one for the other and I would greatly reduce my LAG by not having to swap swap swap, download, download, download.

Of all the things on a computer that could be used to reduce LAG, I think this makes a lot of sense. Most folks here have disk space to burn also and would gladly give a Gig per character, just to reduce the download times.

Thank you.
