I have noticed that I get the same locations as the top results in the Finder when I search for a location because the most popular places put in all of the common words that most people search for, whether or not they relate to the place listed, in order to stack results.
I think someone should do a few test searches occasionally to see if people are cheating.
There should also be code put into place that prevents people from using alphabet tricks to make their entries appear earlier in lists, like starting a listing with 111casino, aaaaescorts or $$$$$$$$FREE.
This could also be helped by separating for-profit (business) locations from not-for-profit (personal and non-profit) locations in Search. Instead of offering just a Mature check box, we could offer a "business" or "personal" checkbox. It would be simple to decide which places would have the profit flag turned on: If people can spend or lose money somehow in this location, the flag is on.
Anytime someone can easily cheat the system there will be people who are going to do so, especially if they stand to make money from it.
Of course people who are cheating to make money right now won't be happy about this proposal, but if some of these ideas were implemented it could make things easier for people who want to find something on SL other than a slot machine or an escort.
