As it sits this box is only useful for giving you a name and the action, which is usually a "Duh, knew that." response to "Hit by a scripted object" action as you dust yourself off 6 sims over from the point of attack.
So I propose we add functionality to the Bumps, Pushs, Hits box.
1.) More information included, such your location when the hit occured, name of script that hit you (Did they shoot you with a gun, orbit you with an orbit script, etc?) , and other details.
2.) Ability to Copy this information to the Clipboard so you can paste it off to a note card or other form of logging with any other perdidinate data for future reference.
3.) Ability to double click on the line and have the Abuse Report box come up with the top header filled out (Name, Location, perhaps a screen shot available to send, etc) so all you need to do is fill out the bottom half with the chat logs and any other related information to send to the Lindens.
4.) Anything else any of you think should be added to make this tool more useful than useless.

sounds like a good idea, didnt we used to have the option to file an AR when a push or bump occured? seems like when i was new, and someone bumped into you, a box popped up asking you if you wanted to report it. My other question is aren't these things reviewed by LL? whats the point of the pushes/bumps thing if the data is not stored somewhere that LL can review it when looking at ARs.

We did have that functionality, but they took it out. Something about they got tired of sorting through so many ARs for pushes.

Tough titty! Just because of that now griefers run around free abusing anyone they choose as the AR process is harder and the bumps box is nearly useless. I like the idea

I like the idea of being able to report potential abuse. I look at it this way, if there is a valid reason that you were bumped, pushed or hit... fine, show me the reason when I PM you about it. If not, it gets let go once. If it happens again, with the same person, it gets reported.
Now, I have an object that prevents the push. I get pushed, but then, because of the script in the object, I snap right back to the position I was in before the push occured. The item shows up as a pouch strapped to my right leg. I found the object in a free scripted gadgets box. Once I get the location of where that box is again, I will post it here so that others can get it.
By the way, Rose, I will be stuck to weekends for playing on SL due to the fact that I am on dial up.

The problem with the system is, its vague. You can't easily tell how severe a bump, hit, or push is. So say you're in a crowded area. You might have half a dozen items in the list at varying levels just from people walking around and bumping into you in the lagstorm, making it hard to pick out the jackalope that just blasted you across the sim.
What we really need is a plain and clear categorization of how bad the impact was, ranging from "Light" to "severe", or perhaps give the actual impact force along with the name so people can judge for themselves. If I have five entries for Light or moderate impacts and one big red "SEVERE" one, I can probably guess who the stinker was.

You would either need to own or be a estate manager of an island to see this but you can see all the collisions on the island under Region/Estate. So they already have a way to score how hard a object or person hits another object. I think they should add the same scoring to the bumps, pushes and hits. Then if the score was over a certain number you would be able to click it and file a report. If the score was under a certain number you wouldn't be able to report it, maybe pop up an error message saying so. I think that would help the lindens as they would only get the "I got pushed 6 sims over" reports and not the small, probably accidental ones.
