When I open the big Map inworld, I'd like to see the current SL stats like those that show up on the SL website map:
Population: 39,357 Inworld: 9 (<<-- Upgrade going on) Transactions Today (US$): 29,588.31 Is this information available inworld somewhere? Also, how is the Total Population determined...are ALL accounts counted, even inactive ones? And what about alts...since they really represent only one rl person, do they count toward total pop? So many questions....maybe all irrelevant  |

So many questions....maybe all irrelevant As far as I know, the population figure is determined by adding up all the seperate accounts that have logged on within the past 30 days. There are additional accounts that are active; they just haven't logged in. Also, there are inactive or lapsed accounts that are still being counted. _____________________

It's not available inworld, but you could create something that polled the homepage and then relayed that information via email to a script within SL. Even easier: http://secondlife.com/xmlhttp/secondlife.php  |
