Fairly straight-forward, ne? Who here has wanted to get to the contents of an object, perhaps some stuff they packaged up to hold down their inventory count, but didn't want to rez the object or couldn't because of nobuild? Well I have often. It'd also be good if you could continue to "Open" objects in the contents of another object.
Instead of having to rez, open, copy to inv, and rez another object you could just open it up through the UI without bringing it into the world. I'm sure scripters would love this; They could work completely without fear of interruption or obstruction because everything could be done in the interface once the object they wanted to script was built.

And it would still keep the sites clean, and ya wouldnt have ta worry about someone sending it back ta yah after ya rezzed it in the first place...Like some of the sandlots do.... (...just when you rez the object ta the ground...."Your object ____ has been returned to your lost and found folder from _____".....

What I do when I'm faced with this is just wear the box on HUD Center, then use the mousewheel to scroll the HUD down so it doesn't block my view.

This would be especially useful for scripters like myself, who often have multiple copies of an object with different versions of a sript in each one.

This would be very useful if you have an object with a script you'd like to edit, but don't want to activate at all.

How about getting at scripts inside stuff you don't want to rez? I fequently want to get a piece of code I used inside soem of my more adult items and I generally am not in a place I wish to rez them. Sometimes I want to edit the script because I've been selling a bad copy and would like to send the item ASAP. Editing a script inside an invisible prim is easy. Finding the prim is niegh impossible.
