attack of the zombies

Please bear with me as i have never posted on a forum before so i might be in wrong place ? or some other fault, but i want to relate an incident in SL and express my feelings about the matter.
I have a small 512 sq m plot on Goanna and noticed when looking at the map a large concentration of avatars on the neighbouring sim Matamata so naturaly i went to see what was going on. When i got there i found 16 avatars all mtionless , all facing the same direction and all flying at 200m. it was disapointing and spooky at the same time. i inspected thier profiles and all i could ascertain was that they all seemed to be 'mature' accounts(to varying degrees) and none of them had payment info. It occured to me that the only explantion fesable was that it was some sort of attempt to abuse the traffic system and so contacted live support to ask if it was something i could report since i feel so strongly that people who abuse the traffic syatem not only cheat customers but also honest merchants and help to create a climate where in order to compete even with good quality products a trader feels they should abuse the traffic system too(the bad driving out the good so to speak)( i will point out that i have never engaged in any comercial aqctivity in SL so have no axe to grind)
well i reported it under the heading of harrasment(the exat headings not always there) and put a lindens name as the named resident since i did not know who was behind it. A lot of people comnplain that the tools provided by Linden Labs to deal with inworld problems & disputes are innefective but i've never belived that to be the case. Well I have to say the spped with wich Linden Labs dealt with the matter supprised even me!, i think it was like 86 seconds after i pressed the button to send the report when someone called Cory Linden turned up inworld to deal with the matter. He had busy above his head so after determining i was not required i left him to his work.
When i next looked on the map Matamata was offline(presumably part of cory's attemt to investigate the matter) and i felt so reasured that things were in capable hands. when i loged in later that day 22 jan 2009, my heart sank to see that the whole bunch of 'zombie' avatars were back this time at ground level. I fieled annother report just in case Linden Labs had droped the matter into the 'done and dusted' tray and decided i could do no more. Well im happy to say they are gone now and the 'comercial sl merchant' useing this meathod of cheating the traffic system has dissapeared from Goanna as far as i can tell.
So the moral of my story is AR's do work and we each of us have a duty to use these tools to keep our SL a good place to be. (also that just because we cant see what actioin is being taken does not mean its not being dealt with). ..julie121 Ballyhoo(spelling mistake delibberately left in)

I'm glad you posted this, that's usually been my experience w/ detailed & complete ARs too. Including a screenshot & doing ARs the way that the Lindens tell you too gets results most of the time in my experience.
