From the experience of my friends their sales (for the same products) are quite OK on SLX, while they sell nothing, zilch, nada on Onrez. Sales there have stopped completely since the renaming from SLBoutique to Onrez.

What does "The Lindens have no clue what they are doing in SL" have to do with SLX or onRez?

I have the same items listed on both sites, and have yet to make a sale at Onrez.

Their free in-world vendor that links to the site is nice enough though.

I use both sites and sell a LOT more from onrez...even though their customer base appears to be a lot less. I think SLX is kinda HUGE, its easier for your product to get lost there amongst so many others similar. SLX also charge commision on sales (not a lot but hey) and because they have a fee scale for getting your item highlighted or on the forst pages etc..they seem more money orientated..ie: those that can afford to pay a few grand get their stuff seen and sold.

I think if your dipping your toe in the selling market...try onrez first

From what I sell on websites comes 95% from Slex and 5% from onrez.

The comments about people getting more sales on SLX are interesting....

Personally, I prefer to buy stuff on OnRez, because the sort facility is much better (well, it's non-existant on SLX, or am I missing something?). And I've noticed the commission charge, so if I can't find the equivalent item on OnRez, I'll buy in world.

On the other hand, I use SLX when buying Lindens, that area of the site is pretty well done...

For the better informed... its easier to wade through less items when shopping at OnRez ,but their search system is limited (in this day and age ! ) . I almost sell 0 on there ,unlike SLX which has a very spirited community forum ,a better image system and a reasonably , but not perfect search engine .Its quite a vendors social club on the forum, discussing alsorts of subjects..amusing and serious .OnRez looks funky ... SLX ..does the business .

I use SLX, OnRez and Apez... for selling.

But for shopping I use SLExchange all the way.

My wife gave up on Onrez because she didnt sell anything in 3 months, while in SLEX she managed to sell a few items.

If you need to show your catalague, both are good systems. However, she prefers SLEX.

I couldn't vote, non did apply to me, but is a business oriented user I use both SLX and Onrez........I have sold items both on SLX and Onrez. Onrez does sport cool interface and webpage store for users, but the Onrez box lacks features like what SLX Magic Boxes has.....other cool features Onrez has are the free vendors and of course the service is FREE!! I think Onrez is catching up with SLX.

SLX is a long time player and the sales and traffic there is higher than Onrez. I like both services and so I use both.

Apez, I never tried and wish to soon...

Is onrez better than slx?

Feature-wise, I'd say OnRez beats SLX on looks and interface, such as the storefront feature and item management. However, SLX's forums serve excellently to connect consumers and creators to each other(which also indirectly helps sales). It's a trade-off, but SLX seems a better trade-off.

Sales-wise, so far I've only made two non-freebie sales with OnRez. On SLX though, I've made quite a few more sales. But I'll still put up my items on both SLX and OnRez.

I'm checking out Apez, but I doubt I'll make a lot of sales there. So far it just looks like an SLX clone with a too dark theme.

I just set up my items at OnRez and as far as using experience goes, I think that it beats SL Exchange easily. I like the sorting and interface better, and the in-world vendor will definitely be useful. I find the search more efficient.

As far as sales are concerned, we'll see. It's my first day on that site.
